Abstract
We summarize the recent detections of strong X-ray emission from
highly obscured, optically invisible young stellar objects in
several star forming regions.
We discuss the X-ray properties of these objects, the origin of their
strong X-ray emission, and the
implications on the star formation process and the evolution of the
protoplanetary disk.
