Hello,
my name is Milena Valentini.
I'm currently a Researcher at the Department of Physics of the University of Trieste, Italy.
Before that, I was an Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow
at the University Observatory of Munich (DE).
Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Origins Excellence Cluster (Garching, DE), working in the Computational Astrophysics Group at the University Observatory of Munich.
Before moving to Germany, I was a postdoctoral researcher in the Cosmology Group at Scuola Normale Superiore (Pisa, IT).
I obtained my PhD (in Astrophysics, cum laude) in 2018 from the International School of Advanced Studies (SISSA) in Trieste (IT). My PhD thesis has been awarded the Tacchini Prize 2019 by the Italian Astronomical Society as the best PhD thesis in Astrophysics in Italy.
I got my Master Degree in Astrophysics and Cosmology (cum laude) from the University of Bologna (IT), while my Bachelor Degree in Physics is from the University of L'Aquila (IT), my hometown.
